Master of Health Care, Sports Medicine and Exercise

Master of Health Care, Sports Medicine and Exercise is a Spring 2027 Masters program taught at South-Eastern Finland University of Applied Sciences Xamk, Finland. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time (3 years) options.

The Master of Health Care, Sports Medicine and Exercise is a 90 ECTS degree at Xamk in Kouvola. It focuses on sports medicine and exercise physiology, including exercise physiology assessment and measurement methods, wellbeing technologies, evidence-based rehabilitation of sports and exercise injuries, performance testing and training planning.

Xamk delivers the programme as part-time study in English. Studies are mainly online and blended, with one 3–4 day contact teaching period at the beginning of the first academic year in Kotka. The degree is divided into core competence, complementary competence and a master’s thesis.

Xamk describes the programme as suitable for professionals working independently or in expert teams in coaching or rehabilitation in sports and physical activity. It leads to work in specialist, development and multidisciplinary team roles in the field.

The minimum requirements for admission in Master of Health Care, Sports Medicine and Exercise at South-Eastern Finland University of Applied Sciences Xamk for all applicants (Domestic or International) are:

• program specific academic requirment set by South-Eastern Finland University of Applied Sciences Xamk.
• English Language OR any other language requirments as set by South-Eastern Finland University of Applied Sciences Xamk as pre-requiste for admission in Master of Health Care, Sports Medicine and Exercise.
