International Security, Security Management and Politics, Master of Social Sciences
Introduction
The Master’s Programme in Security Management and Politics combines administrative science and international politics. It covers security management and governance, strategic issues, geopolitics, and the cross-boundary, cross-sectoral and hybrid nature of domestic and international security domains.
The studies consist of joint programme studies, advanced studies in Security Management and International Security, and elective studies in a chosen area. Students take part in a master’s thesis seminar and write a master’s thesis under supervision.
Tampere University says students may use elective studies to direct their expertise towards a desired career path or a field of interest. The programme also gives access to doctoral studies in social and administrative sciences.
