Master's Programme in Preparedness and Resilience, Master of Administrative Sciences is a Masters program taught at University of Vaasa, Finland. Intake: spring. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time (2 years) options.
Preparedness and Resilience is a 2-year Master of Administrative Sciences in the field of social and behavioural sciences. The University of Vaasa says the programme is located in the academic unit of management and approaches preparedness and resilience in a multidisciplinary way. It trains students to understand resilience and preparedness as broad, multi-stakeholder and democratic decision-making processes.
The programme combines the joint advanced studies of the Master’s programmes in Administrative Sciences with the programme’s own advanced studies, communication and language studies, and other studies. All studies can be completed in English, and the advanced studies in preparedness and resilience are organised only in English. New study units are built around intensive on-campus periods of 2-3 days, with hybrid implementations of joint advanced studies integrated into those contact teaching periods. The master’s thesis seminar is also held on campus.
Graduates are prepared for work in public administration organisations, companies and associations. The University of Vaasa also says the degree provides eligibility for postgraduate studies leading to the Doctor of Administrative Sciences degree.
