Introduction

M2 Modélisation PK/PD is a Masters program taught at Ecole Nationale Vétérinaire de Toulouse, France. Intake: Fall, Spring. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time (1–2 years) options.

The Master 2 in Pharmacokinetic/Pharmacodynamic Modelling (PK/PD) trains students to understand, build, and use PK/PD modelling. It teaches statistical, pharmacological, and programming foundations needed to interpret and optimise dosing. The course covers modelling approaches used across preclinical and clinical stages of veterinary and human medicine development, with a focus on theoretical and practical PK/PD knowledge.

Teaching is organised across two semesters of 30 ECTS each. Semester 1 includes theoretical and practical classes in six units of study: Analysis of individual data in pharmacokinetics, Population pharmacokinetics, PK/PD modelling, Pre- and post-processing, Physiologically based PK/PD modelling (PBPK), and Applications in PK/PD for human and veterinary medicines. Semester 2 consists of a 5-month research placement from February. The master is also available through work-study (alternance).

It is aimed at students in their year of deepening in veterinary training, pharmacy students in their final year in the industry track, interns in pharmacy or medicine, and students in science fields such as biochemistry, pharmacology, mathematics, and statistics. Graduates can work in veterinary-sector pharmaceutical laboratories and in companies developing medicines for humans. Public-sector options include regulatory agencies, research bodies, and higher education.
