Introduction

Master in Hydraulic and Civil Engineering is a Masters program taught at Institut polytechnique de Grenoble, France. Intake: September. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time (1 or 2 years starting in September) options.

The Master in Hydraulic and Civil Engineering (Civil Engineering) trains students in hydraulics, civil engineering, hydraulic works and infrastructures, hydrology, and water resources management. The program includes training that uses theoretical, experimental technological, and numerical methods, with software packages and multidisciplinary practical projects.

Teaching uses a gradual approach toward autonomy and knowledge acquisition: traditional lectures, tutorials, practical research training at highly technological platforms, and multidisciplinary practical projects. Students complete an internship at an industrial firm or in a research laboratory, then submit a written dissertation that is defended in front of a jury.

For learning outcomes, the program prepares roles such as project engineer, development or research engineer, business or consultant engineer, and exploitation engineer. Graduates may work in companies or continue toward a PhD with associated research laboratories or universities.
