M2 Nuclei, Particles, Astroparticles and Cosmology is a Masters program taught at Université Paris-Saclay, France. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time options.
The Master’s degree M2 Nuclei, Particles, Astroparticles and Cosmology (NPAC) is intended for students training towards research in nuclear physics, particle physics, astroparticles and cosmology. It covers the infinitely large topics (cosmology and astroparticles) and the infinitely small topics (particle and nuclear physics). The programme aims to prepare students for an experimental or phenomenological PhD in major research centres including the CNRS, universities, and the CEA.
Students build their curriculum through a general core phase (September–November) covering the basics of plasma physics, followed by a specialization (December–January) and an on-site specialization (February–March). The year ends with a 4- to 5-month internship in France or abroad. Training includes lectures in detector physics and accelerator physics, with student work in laboratories during internships and through study of selected researchers’ work, particularly in instrumentation.
The minimum requirements for admission in M2 Nuclei, Particles, Astroparticles and Cosmology at Université Paris-Saclay for all applicants (Domestic or International) are:
