M2 Biomass Engineering for Bioeconomy is a Masters program taught at Université Paris-Saclay, France. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time options.
M1 Biomass Engineering for Bioeconomy is a full-time master’s degree specialization within Bioceb (European Master in Biological and Chemical Engineering for a Sustainable Bioeconomy). It combines chemistry, biology, economics, and environmental sciences, with project management skills. Students develop knowledge in green chemistry principles and metrics, plant science with awareness of biodiversity, and biochemistry, molecular biology, and microbiology.
The programme uses joint teaching across four semesters. It includes lecture and practice, a green-line multidisciplinary project carried out over the programme, and an R&D internship that leads to Master’s thesis preparation and defence. The third semester includes specialization in biomass engineering (AgroParisTech), while the second semester focus is on economics (AgroParisTech) or green chemistry principles (TalTech). M1 BEB is delivered by Université Paris Saclay and operated by AgroParisTech.
