Admission Requirements
Ernst-Moritz-Arndt Universität Greifswald allocates 30% of study places to applicants with the Abiturbestenquote, based on the result of the higher education entrance qualification (in general: Abitur). An additional 10% of study places are allocated through a Zusätzliche Eignungsquote using a points-based ranking.
For the Zusätzliche Eignungsquote, points are awarded for listed vocational training (250 points), with additional points depending on the final grade (“sehr gut” +50; “gut” +25). For a voluntary ecological year or another service with ecological content of at least 6 months, applicants receive 100 points. For the remaining 60% of places, the university selects applicants via a ranking based on the applicant’s total points for the higher education entrance qualification plus an additional bonus.
