MA Assisted Synthesis of Nickel Cobalt Nitrideoxide Hybrids F is a Masters program taught at City University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time options.
Plasma-assisted synthesis of nickel-cobalt nitride–oxide hybrids with a networked porous nanosheet structure is produced on carbon cloth by in situ plasma treatment of nickel-cobalt layered double hydroxide precursors. The work focuses on hydrogen evolution reaction performance, including the roles of morphology, microstructure, and electron transfer between nickel-cobalt nitride and oxide, and the effect of introducing bimetallic nickel and cobalt sites.
The study describes self-supported NiCo–N–O electrodes and reports a low overpotential of 50 mV at 10 mA cm−2 in alkaline conditions for hydrogen evolution reaction. It also discusses preparation of porous bimetal nitride–oxide hybrid electrocatalysts and highlights efficiency and stability as outcomes of the synthesis approach.
