Hong Kong Baptist University offers a Doctor of Philosophy / Master of Philosophy under the School of Chinese Medicine, with research fields in Chinese medicine. Areas include cancer and inflammation research, translational medicine in bone and joint diseases, clinical research in integrative Chinese medicine, translational and clinical research in Parkinson’s diseases and other neurodegenerative diseases, and development of preventive and therapeutic approaches for renal diseases.

Other research fields include authentication, standardisation and quality assurance of Chinese medicines, integrated bioinformedicine and translational science, and precision medicine and innovative drug discovery. The programme is available in full-time and part-time study modes. Funding includes UGC/RGC-funded and self-funded options, and tuition details are provided separately for full-time and part-time self-funded students.
