Introduction

Design and Communication is a Bachelor program taught at Politecnico di Torino, Italy. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time options.

Design and Communication is a bachelor’s degree that prepares you to become a first level designer. You develop innovative concepts for communication and products focused on human beings and the environment, understood through historical, social, cultural, economic, and natural contexts. The programme builds skills to work across design stages with specialists in technical-scientific and humanistic fields, covering materials, production methods, environmental sustainability, history, economic assessment, psychology of consumption, cognitive ergonomics, and communication.

You learn to recognise the cultural and strategic value of design, and to interpret how choices and technological solutions fit the context and stakeholders. The programme also supports working in complex contexts with critical approach, creative and transformative intentionality, and attention to the project’s repercussions and impacts. It is delivered at the Department of Architecture and Design, Collegio di Architettura e Design, on the Mirafiori campus, with a capped number of students and a mandatory admission test.
