Introduction

社会園芸学科 is a Bachelor program taught at Keisen Jogaku-en College, Japan. Intake: Fall, Spring. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time (4 years) options.

Keisen Jogaku-en College offers the Social Horticulture Department (園芸文化領域) and a psychology area (心理領域). Students study through general university common subjects and within the department’s framework, with an added option called the Multicultural Open Course that supports learning beyond faculty and department boundaries.

The curriculum includes Field Study and Community Service Learning (CSL), and it includes graduation work for all students as a graduation thesis or graduation production (卒業論文/卒業制作). Students also take part in self-exploration challenge work (自己探究チャレンジ(卒業課題)) and study horticultural therapy (恵泉女学園大学で学ぶ園芸療法).

English-focused support is available through the Global Challenge Program, a selected program for students who want to use English to communicate with people worldwide. The college also uses a student-year homeroom system where the same homeroom teacher supports students across the four years.
