Diploma in Ict Data Informatics
Introduction
Diploma in Ict Data Informatics is a 19 November Diploma program taught at Asia Pacific University of Technology & Innovation (APU), Malaysia. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time (2+ years) options.
The Diploma in Information & Communication Technology with a specialism in Data Informatics develops skills in software systems development with emphasis on data informatics. It prepares students for ICT careers with emphasis on solutions design, software development, technology infrastructure support, and data informatics application. Students also study principles and techniques for developing and supporting software systems in commercial organisations.
The programme is full time and lasts 2+ years. It runs through six semesters with modules that cover information systems and internet applications, computer architecture, mathematics and statistics for computing, system analysis and design, programming with Python, operating systems, networking technologies, object oriented programming, and database management. It includes web development, data analytics, cybersecurity and forensic topics, a capstone project, a UI/UX design module, advanced networking, and an internship/industrial training for a minimum of 12 weeks.

Admission Requirements
The minimum requirements for admission in Diploma in Ict Data Informatics at Asia Pacific University of Technology & Innovation (APU) for all applicants (Domestic or International) are:
- program specific academic requirment set by Asia Pacific University of Technology & Innovation (APU).
- English Language OR any other language requirments as set by Asia Pacific University of Technology & Innovation (APU) as pre-requiste for admission in Diploma in Ict Data Informatics.

Admission Requirements
- SPM: 3 Credits in at least 3 subjects at SPM level including Mathematics#, with a minimum of a pass in Bahasa Malaysia and Sejarah (History);
- IGCSE/O-LEVELS: 3 Credits (Grade C & above) in at least 3 subjects at IGCSE/O-LEVELS including Mathematics#;
- UEC: 3 Credits (Grade B & above) in at least 3 subjects in UEC including Mathematics#;
- CERTIFICATE: Pass relevant Certificate Programme or its equivalent;
# Candidates with only a Pass in Maths in SPM/IGCSE/O-Levels or equivalent will be required to complete and pass “Mathematics and Statistics for Computing” in their Semester 1 of Diploma
A qualification that APU accepts as equivalent to the above.
Note: The above entry requirements may differ for specific programmes based on the latest programme standards published by Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA). The qualification and entry requirements for the programmes will be determined based on the "Comparison List of Equivalency of International Qualifications with SPM (O-Levels equivalent) and STPM (A-Levels equivalent)" published by Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA).
