Bachelor of Accounting Finance Actuarial Studies Data Analytics

Bachelor of Accounting Finance Actuarial Studies Data Analytics is a Bachelor program taught at Asia Pacific University of Technology & Innovation (APU), Malaysia. Intake: September, November. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time (3 years) options.

This Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Actuarial Studies includes a specialism in Data Analytics. Students study actuarial science grounded in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics and Finance, with additional training in Business, Communication, and IT skills. The programme covers common actuarial modules such as Programming for Actuaries, Probability Models, Financial Accounting, and Data Management with SQL, plus advanced actuarial and analytics topics across Levels 2 and 3.

Study is full-time and lasts 3 years. The programme includes an Internship/Industrial Training for a minimum period of 16 weeks and an Industry Based Project. Students also complete specialism modules focused on data analytics, including Programming for Data Analytics and Operational Research and Analytics, plus Behavioural Science & Marketing Analytics and Advanced Predictive Analytics at the later stage.

The minimum requirements for admission in Bachelor of Accounting Finance Actuarial Studies Data Analytics at Asia Pacific University of Technology & Innovation (APU) for all applicants (Domestic or International) are:

• program specific academic requirment set by Asia Pacific University of Technology & Innovation (APU).
• English Language OR any other language requirments as set by Asia Pacific University of Technology & Innovation (APU) as pre-requiste for admission in Bachelor of Accounting Finance Actuarial Studies Data Analytics.

• Direct Entry to Level 1 of the Degree

  • STPM: 2 Passes in STPM with a minimum Grade C+ (GP 2.33) and a Credit in Mathematics and a Pass in English at SPM Level or its equivalent.
  • A-Level: 2 Passes (Grade A-D) in A-Level in any 2 subjects, and a Credit in Mathematics and a Pass in English at SPM/O-Level/ IGCSE or its equivalent.
  • UEC: 5 Grade B's in any subjects in UEC including Mathematics with a Pass in English.
  • Matriculation/ Foundation: Passed Foundation programme (minimum CGPA of 2.5) with a Credit in Mathematics and a Pass in English at SPM/O-Level/IGCSE or equivalent.
  • Any qualification that APU accepts as equivalent to the above.

• Note: The above entry requirements may differ for specific programmes based on the latest programme standards published by Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA). The qualification and entry requirements for the programmes will be determined based on the "Comparison List of Equivalency of International Qualifications with SPM (O-Levels equivalent) and STPM (A-Levels equivalent)" published by Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA).
