Diploma in Accounting

Diploma in Accounting is a Diploma program taught at Nilai University College, Malaysia. Intake: JANUARY / JUNE / SEPTEMBER. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time (2 Years; 6 Semesters) options.

The Diploma in Accounting at Nilai University College gives students grounding in accounting concepts and principles. It includes key courses covering financial accounting, management accounting, auditing, taxation, information technology and accounting information systems, law (including corporate law and governance and law for business), finance, economics, management and marketing, and math and statistics. Students also study English and business communication, with a public speaking component.

The programme runs for 2 years across 6 semesters. It includes a final component of three months of internship training. Learning is structured through a set of programme modules that include Financial Accounting I, II, III, Auditing and Principles of Auditing, Principles of Taxation I and II, IT Applications in Accounting, and Corporate Law and Governance, among others.

The minimum requirements for admission in Diploma in Accounting at Nilai University College for all applicants (Domestic or International) are:

• program specific academic requirment set by Nilai University College.
• English Language OR any other language requirments as set by Nilai University College as pre-requiste for admission in Diploma in Accounting.

• SPM: A pass with a minimum three (3) credits including Mathematics and pass in English; or
• O-Level: A pass with a minimum Grade C in three (3) subjects including Mathematics; or
• UEC: A pass with a Grade B in three (3) subjects including Mathematics and pass in English; or
• STPM: A pass with a minimum of Grade C (GP 2.00) in any subject with a Credit in Mathematics and a pass in English at the SPM level; or
• STAM: Pass with a minimum grade of Maqbul (pass) with a Credit in Mathematics and a pass in English at SPM level; or
• SKM (Level 3) in related field
• Candidates without Mathematics can be admitted subject to a thorough rigorous assessment to determine their competencies in Mathematics that are equivalent to SPM level; or
• Certificate (Level 3, MQF) in a related field: A pass with a minimum CGPA of 2.00
