Diploma in Computer Science
Introduction
Diploma in Computer Science is a Diploma program taught at Nilai University College, Malaysia. Intake: JANUARY / JUNE / SEPTEMBER. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time (2.5 Years (7 Semesters)) options.
The Diploma in Computer Science at Nilai University College prepares students for the job market in areas such as software analysis and management, database administration and design, programming, and web, multimedia, and systems development. Students study computing foundations and core topics including Calculus and Algebra, Computer Organisation, Database Development, Platform Based Development, Discrete Mathematics, Human Computer Interaction, and cyber-focused subjects such as Cybersecurity Fundamentals.
Teaching follows a structure that includes foundational, core modules, electives, and industrial training. The programme includes a Final Year Project, a Summative (Computing Project), and Industrial Training with an Internship. The duration is 2.5 years across 7 semesters, with intake periods in January, June, and September.
Graduates can enter a degree programme at Nilai University or proceed to complete a relevant degree with partner universities in Australia, Canada, New Zealand, and the United Kingdom.

Admission Requirements
The minimum requirements for admission in Diploma in Computer Science at Nilai University College for all applicants (Domestic or International) are:
- program specific academic requirment set by Nilai University College.
- English Language OR any other language requirments as set by Nilai University College as pre-requiste for admission in Diploma in Computer Science.

SPM: Pass with credit in at least 3 subjects (inclusive of Mathematics or equivalent); or
O-level: Pass with at least Grade C in any 3 subjects, including Mathematics; or
UEC: Pass with at least Grade C in any 3 subjects, including Mathematics; or
STPM: Pass with a minimum Grade C Grade Point (GP) 2.00 in a subject and a credit in Mathematics at SPM level (or its equivalent; or
A-Level: Pass with a minimum grade D in any subjects and grade C in SPM/O-Level Mathematics: or
STAM: Pass with a minimum grade of Maqbul and credit in Mathematics at SPM level, or its equivalent; or
SKM (MQF Level 3) in related field: Pass. Internal assessment on Mathematics competency may be carried out; or
Certificate (Level 3, MQF) in a related field: Pass with at least CGPA 2:00
Notes: Candidates with a pass in Mathematics at SPM level may be admitted if their admission qualification contains Mathematic subjects equivalent to SPM level. Otherwise, they need to take a reinforcement Mathematic subject in the first semester.

International students with qualifications from educational systems where English language is the main medium of instruction are exempted from this requirement. International students who do not fulfil the English Language Requirements may join the Intensive English Programme at Nilai University which builds their skills in the language and prepares them for the IELTS examination.
