Diploma in Hotel Management

Diploma in Hotel Management is a Diploma program taught at Nilai University College, Malaysia. Intake: JANUARY / JUNE / SEPTEMBER. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time (2.5 Years) options.

The Diploma in Hotel Management at Nilai University College prepares students for work in hospitality management by covering hospitality and tourism, basic business administration, food preparation, restaurant service, front office operations, housekeeping, and hospitality law. Students also study events management, food and beverage cost control, food safety and sanitation, and sales and marketing in the hospitality industry.

The programme runs for 2.5 years across 7 semesters and includes both practicum and summative work. It includes Industrial Training and Internship alongside modules such as Basic Food Preparation – Practicum, Basic Restaurant Service – Practicum, Intermediate Food Preparation – Practicum, and Intermediate Restaurant Service – Practicum.

Graduates can pursue roles listed for careers in hospitality and tourism, including Chef, Cruise Ship Host, Hotel Manager, Food and Beverage Manager, Customer Service Manager, Event Manager, and Restaurant Manager.

The minimum requirements for admission in Diploma in Hotel Management at Nilai University College for all applicants (Domestic or International) are:

• program specific academic requirment set by Nilai University College.
• English Language OR any other language requirments as set by Nilai University College as pre-requiste for admission in Diploma in Hotel Management.

• A pass with minimum credits in any three (3) subjects; or
• UEC: A pass with at least Grade B in any three (3) subjects; or
• STPM: A pass with a minimum of Grade C (GP2.00) in any subject; or
• STAM: A pass with a minimum grade of Maqbul (Pass) in any subject; or
• SKM/SKK (Level 3) in related field: A pass with a minimum CGPA of 2.00; or
• Certificate (Level 3, MQF) in related field: A pass with a minimum CGPA of 2.00 or its equivalent
