Master of Medical Science Physiology

Master of Medical Science Physiology is a Masters program taught at Perdana University, Malaysia. Intake: January, June, September. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time (1 Year 6 Months) options.

The Master of Medical Science (Physiology) at Perdana University is a postgraduate degree that provides an advanced understanding of medical physiological systems. The curriculum combines theoretical learning with practical research skills, with a focus on ethical research practices, critical thinking, and academic writing. It is designed to support graduates who can contribute to biomedical research, physiology teaching, and health sciences innovation.

The programme runs for 1 Year 6 Months and includes coursework and research. Students complete modules across several physiology areas, then undertake a Research Project and produce a dissertation that demonstrates the ability to conduct independent scientific investigation. The structure includes Research Methodology, Research Proposal, and a final research component, with an elective choice of two modules from Exercise Physiology, Environmental Physiology, and Developmental Physiology.

The minimum requirements for admission in Master of Medical Science Physiology at Perdana University for all applicants (Domestic or International) are:

• program specific academic requirment set by Perdana University.
• English Language OR any other language requirments as set by Perdana University as pre-requiste for admission in Master of Medical Science Physiology.

i. A Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS)/ Bachelor's Degree in Medical Science, Allied Health Science (Level 6 Malaysian Qualifications Framework, MQF) or related fields with minimum CGPA of 2.50;
OR
ii.

A Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS)/ Bachelor's Degree in Medical Science or Allied Health Science (Level 6, MQF) or related fields with CGPA of less than 2.50 and a minimum of 5 years working experience in the related field;
OR
iii. Other relevant equivalent qualifications that are recognised by the Malaysian Government.

International Students
MUET : Minimum Band 3.5
IELTS : Minimum Band 5.0
TOEFL (Internet-based) : Minimum score of 7.5
Cambridge Linguaskill : Minimum score of 154
Cambridge English Qualification and Test : Minimum score of 154
Pearson Test of English : Minimum score of 47
Candidates who fail to fulfil the above criteria may be required to take an English Proficiency Course at the University.
