Introduction

Bachelor in Information Technology Honours is a Bachelor program taught at Perdana University, Malaysia. Intake: January, June, September. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time (3 Years) options.

The Bachelor in Information Technology (Honours) at Perdana University builds practical skills in software development, data management, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, cloud computing, big data, and IoT. You study core topics such as Programming Fundamentals, Database System, Computer Networking and Communication, and Introduction to Cybersecurity, then move into areas like Cloud Computing and System Analysis & Design.

The curriculum includes hands-on, industry-relevant learning with projects and industrial training. Your programme also includes a Project Capstone and capstone work that focuses on applied work across your specialisation modules and electives. You choose one specialisation path, including Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning, Mobile Application Development, Cloud Technologies, or Web Development or Cybersecurity.

Admission Requirements

The minimum requirements for admission in Bachelor in Information Technology Honours at Perdana University for all applicants (Domestic or International) are:

program specific academic requirment set by Perdana University.
English Language OR any other language requirments as set by Perdana University as pre-requiste for admission in Bachelor in Information Technology Honours.

STPM
Pass STPM with a minimum Grade C (CGPA 2.00) in any two (2) subjects and a credit in Mathematics at SPM level or its equivalent.

STAM
Pass STAM with a minimum Grade Jayyid in any two (2) subjects and a credit in Mathematics at SPM level or its equivalent.

Matriculation/Foundation
Pass Matriculation or Foundation studies with a minimum CGPA of 2.00 and a credit in Mathematics at SPM level or its equivalent.
Note: Candidates with a pass in Mathematics at SPM level need to take and pass the reinforcement Mathematics subject that is equivalent to the SPM Level. The reinforcement Mathematics subject must be offered in first semester or before enrolment with unconditional offer.

Diploma in Computing
Diploma in a Computing field (Level 4, MQF) or equivalent with a minimum CGPA of 2.50. Applicants with a CGPA above 2.00 but below 2.50 may be considered following a rigorous assessment.

DKM/DVM/DLKM in Computing
Diploma Kemahiran Malaysia (DKM) / Diploma Vokasional Malaysia (DVM) / Diploma Lanjutan Kemahiran Malaysia (DLKM) in Computing fields with a minimum CGPA of 2.50 subjected to HEP Senate / Academic Board's approval.

Diploma in a Non-Computing Field
Diploma (Level 4, MQF) in a Non-Computing field with a minimum CGPA of 2.75. Applicants with a CGPA above 2.50 but below 2.75 may be considered following a rigorous assessment.

Other Recognised Qualifications
Other relevant and equivalent qualifications recognised by the Malaysian Government.

MUET: Minimum Band 3.5 OR equivalent to CEFR (High B1) — required for international students.
