Introduction

Bachelor of Education Hons Early Childhood Education is a Bachelor program taught at Universiti Industri Selangor, Malaysia. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time (3½ Years) options.

The Bachelor of Education (Hons) in Early Childhood Education at Universiti Selangor (UNISEL) prepares students to become early childhood educators for children from birth to six years old. The curriculum covers child development, teaching pedagogies, curriculum planning, and early literacy and numeracy. Students also work with theoretical foundations and hands-on experiences.

Students gain practical teaching experience through field placements in early learning centers and preschools. These placements involve managing early childhood classrooms, developing teaching strategies, building relationships with parents and stakeholders, and reflecting critically on teaching practices. The program also includes language courses such as Mandarin and Arabic and provides support services including academic advising, peer mentoring, and career services.

Admission Requirements

The minimum requirements for admission in Bachelor of Education Hons Early Childhood Education at Universiti Industri Selangor for all applicants (Domestic or International) are:

Our program is accessible to a wide range of applicants, with various pathways for admission:

A Pass in STPM / equivalent with a minimum Grade C (CGPA 2.00) in two (2) subjects or equivalent; OR
A Pass in STAM with a minimum Grade of Jayyid; OR
A Pass in the Foundation / Matriculation / Pre-University program with a minimum CGPA of 2.00; OR
A Pass in Diploma in Early Childhood Education (Level 4 MQF) with a minimum CGPA of 2.00; OR
A Pass in Diploma (Level 4 MQF) with a minimum CGPA of 2.00; OR
A Pass in UEC with at least Grade B in 5 subjects and pass English; OR
A Pass in Malaysian Skills Diploma (DKM) / Malaysian Advanced Skills Diploma (DLKM) / Malaysian Vocational Diploma (DVM) in a related field with at least a CGPA of 2.50 and has obtained full Accreditation Certification from the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA).
