Bachelor of Information Science Library Management Honours

Bachelor of Information Science Library Management Honours is a Bachelor program taught at Universiti Industri Selangor, Malaysia. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time (2 ½ Years) options.

The Bachelor of Information Science (Library Management) (Hons) at Universiti Industri Selangor is designed to develop knowledge and advanced skills for managing modern libraries and information centres. The curriculum covers library automation and digital resource management, cataloging and classification, research methodology in library science, information retrieval systems and database management, and knowledge organization and information services.

Learning is supported by practical assignments and projects based on real-world scenarios. Students take part in guest lectures, workshops, and seminars with experienced professionals, and they have internship and practical training opportunities through partnerships with public, academic, and corporate libraries. The program also includes fieldwork with libraries, archives, and information centres.

The minimum requirements for admission in Bachelor of Information Science Library Management Honours at Universiti Industri Selangor for all applicants (Domestic or International) are:

• program specific academic requirment set by Universiti Industri Selangor.
• English Language OR any other language requirments as set by Universiti Industri Selangor as pre-requiste for admission in Bachelor of Information Science Library Management Honours.

• Passed in STPM or its equivalent, with a minimum of Grade C (GP 2.00) in any two subjects and a pass in Mathematics or Additional Mathematics at SPM level or its equivalent; OR
• Passed in STAM with a minimum grade of Jayyid and a pass in Mathematics or Additional Mathematics at SPM level; OR
• A Diploma or its equivalent, with a minimum CGPA of 2.00 and a pass in Mathematics or Additional Mathematics at SPM level or its equivalent; OR
• Matriculation / Foundation or equivalent, with a CGPA of 2.00 and a pass in Mathematics at SPM Level or equivalent or its equivalent. OR
• Passed in UEC with minimum Grade B in 5 subjects and pass in English subject.
