Bachelor of Occupational Safety and Health Honour

Bachelor of Occupational Safety and Health Honour is a Bachelor program taught at Universiti Industri Selangor, Malaysia. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time (4 Years) options.

The Bachelor of Occupational Safety and Health (Hons) at Universiti Industri Selangor (UNISEL) prepares students to work in occupational safety and health. The curriculum covers four main components aligned with the MQA OSH Standards: basic science, safety, health, management, and legal requirements.

Students study occupational safety and health science, public health practices, risk assessment and management, legislation and regulations, and community engagement and advocacy. The program includes fieldwork and practical training through a 24-week field placement in real industrial settings, focused on monitoring and inspections.

The minimum requirements for admission in Bachelor of Occupational Safety and Health Honour at Universiti Industri Selangor for all applicants (Domestic or International) are:

• program specific academic requirment set by Universiti Industri Selangor.
• English Language OR any other language requirments as set by Universiti Industri Selangor as pre-requiste for admission in Bachelor of Occupational Safety and Health Honour.

The minimum entry requirements are shown below:

• A pass in STPM with a minimum of Grade C (GP 2.00) in any two (2) subjects*; OR
• A pass in STAM with at least Grade Jayyid*; OR
• Matriculation or Foundation with a minimum CGPA of 2.00*; OR
• A Diploma (Level 4, MQF) with a minimum CGPA of 2.00*; OR
• A Diploma Kemahiran Malaysia (DKM)/Diploma Vokasional Malaysia (DVM)**; OR
• Other relevant equivalent qualifications recognized by the Malaysian Government.

Additional requirement for i–iv: A credit in one Science subject (Biology/Physics/Chemistry/General Science) at SPM level or equivalent qualifications (Refer to the notes (*)).

• A pass in English at SPM level or equivalent qualifications
• A credit in Mathematics and one (1) Science subject at SPM level or equivalent qualifications
• English competency requirement (International students): Achieve a minimum Band 3 in MUET OR equivalent to CEFR (Low B2)***.
