Introduction

Master of Engineering is a Masters program taught at Universiti Industri Selangor, Malaysia. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time (2 - 4 Years) options.

The Master in Engineering programme at Universiti Industri Selangor focuses on applied research in Mechanical, Civil, Electronic, Electrical, and Mechatronic Engineering. It also includes specializations in Structural Health Monitoring, Automotive Engineering, Control Engineering, Computational Mechanics, Highway and Transportation Engineering, Nanomaterials Engineering, Power Electrical Engineering, and Energy Generation and Management.

Students develop a research proposal with a literature review, research objectives, problem statement, significance of study, methodology, and expected outcomes. The programme includes a research methodology course, research execution with experimental work, data collection, and analysis, and faculty-level progress presentations each semester. Research is completed with thesis preparation and submission, followed by an oral thesis defense (viva voce).

Research projects are designed to meet industrial needs and are conducted in collaboration with industry partners, who often co-supervise projects externally. Students receive academic advising, peer mentoring, and access to engineering and computer laboratories, libraries, sports centre, cafes, hostels, and other facilities.

Admission Requirements

The minimum requirements for admission in Master of Engineering at Universiti Industri Selangor for all applicants (Domestic or International) are:

program specific academic requirment set by Universiti Industri Selangor.
English Language OR any other language requirments as set by Universiti Industri Selangor as pre-requiste for admission in Master of Engineering.

A Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent with at least a CGPA of 2.75 from an Institution of Higher Learning (IHL) as approved by UNISEL Senate.

OR A Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent with a CGPA of at least 2.50 but less than 2.75 may be accepted to enroll in the program, subject to a detailed internal evaluation by the UNISEL Senate.

OR A Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or another equivalent qualification with a CGPA of less than 2.50 may be accepted with a minimum of 5 years working experience in a related field.
