Bachelor of English Language

Bachelor of English Language is a October (Semester 1) and March (Semester 2) Bachelor program taught at Universiti Malaya, Malaya, Malaysia. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time (7 semesters) options.

The Bachelor of English Language and Linguistics at Universiti Malaya trains students to master language and linguistics, with a focus on English. Students complete 127 credits, including core courses, university courses, and elective courses. The programme includes Faculty Core Courses and Programme Core Courses, plus English Communication OR Foreign Language Courses and options such as Philosophy and Current Issues OR Basic Malay Language.

Study is full time and runs for 7 semesters. The structure includes Final Year Project and Industrial Training. University Courses cover Apppreciation of Ethics and Civilisations and Basic Entrepreneurship Culture, along with Co-curriculum. Students also take Open Elective and Student Holistics Empowerment (SHE), and complete other Elective Courses.

Graduates can work in language-related professions across media, advertising, and publishing; marketing, banking, and tourism; corporate communication; education; and roles as translators and interpreters.

The minimum requirements for admission in Bachelor of English Language at Universiti Malaya for all applicants (Domestic or International) are:

• program specific academic requirment set by Universiti Malaya.
• English Language OR any other language requirments as set by Universiti Malaya as pre-requiste for admission in Bachelor of English Language.
