Doctor of Business Administration Faculty of Business

Doctor of Business Administration Faculty of Business is a Semester 1 (October) Intake PhD program taught at Universiti Malaya, Malaya, Malaysia. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time (6 Semesters (Coursework)) options.

The Doctor of Business Administration at Universiti Malaya is a coursework-based doctorate degree designed for professionals who want to advance in business management. Students study core areas including Quantitative Research Methods, Qualitative Research of Methods, Theories and Practices in Operations and Management, Theories and Practices in Accounting and Finance, Theories and Practices in Marketing and Information Systems, and Global Business Immersion.

The programme includes elective coursework and a research component. Students take elective courses such as Quantitative Data Analysis and Qualitative Data Analysis, then complete a dissertation as part of the Research Course. The full-time programme is structured for 6 semesters (coursework) and requires a minimum of 81 credit hours of learning and research activities.

The minimum requirements for admission in Doctor of Business Administration Faculty of Business at Universiti Malaya for all applicants (Domestic or International) are:

• program specific academic requirment set by Universiti Malaya.
• English Language OR any other language requirments as set by Universiti Malaya as pre-requiste for admission in Doctor of Business Administration Faculty of Business.

General entry requirements (Local & International): Possess a Master’s Degree and Bachelor’s Degree in related field with minimum CGPA of 3.00. Must be in the related field: Business Management, Marketing, Finance, Logistic, Statistic, Information System, Psychology, Economics, Accounting, Operation.

OR possess a Master’s Degree and Bachelor’s Degree not in related field with minimum CGPA of 3.00 and meet at least one (1) of the following criteria: Publication in a related field; or A scholarship holder; or UM graduate; or A Government servant; or Graduated from top 100 university in the current QS World University Ranking.

OR possess a Master’s Degree and Bachelor’s Degree in related field with CGPA of 2.50 - 2.99 and meet at least one (1) of the following criteria: Publication in a related field; or A scholarship holder; or UM graduate; or A Government servant; or Graduated from top 100 university in the current QS World University Ranking.

Specific entry requirements include working experience and assessment. Entry Requirement 1: A full-time working experience of not less than five (5) years in management level; Pass the interview and assessment conducted by the Faculty.

OR Entry Requirement 2: A full-time working experience of not less than six (6) years in management level; Pass the interview and assessment conducted by the Faculty; Fulfill at least one (1) of the following criteria: Produce publications in a relevant field; or Receive a scholarship award; or Graduate from Universiti Malaya; or Serve in a government agency; or Graduate from a university ranked in the top 100 of the latest QS World University Rankings.
