MBA

MBA is a Masters program taught at Universiti Sains Malaysia, Malaysia. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time options.

The Universiti Sains Malaysia MBA is a general management programme with a curriculum that includes ten core business courses, four elective courses, and one project. The course content covers subjects such as Sustainability Accounting and Governance, Financial Economics, Global Strategy and Organizational Behaviour, Marketing, Innovation and Operations Management, and Corporate Social Responsibility.

Students complete 15 courses in total and must earn 48 units to graduate. Classes run for 3 hours per week per course, generally from 7 pm to 10 pm, excluding Saturday and Sunday. Delivery takes place at the lecture hall or seminar room at the USM Penang campus.

The minimum requirements for admission in MBA at Universiti Sains Malaysia for all applicants (Domestic or International) are:

• program specific academic requirment set by Universiti Sains Malaysia.
• English Language OR any other language requirments as set by Universiti Sains Malaysia as pre-requiste for admission in MBA.

Admission requirements:

• A Bachelor’s degree from a university recognised by the USM’s Senate or an equivalent qualification: A minimum CGPA of 2.75/4.00 or equivalent and a minimum of 1 year working experience; or A minimum CGPA of 3.50/4.00 or equivalent (without working experience)
• Individuals with working experience but lack of formal academic qualifications to pursue their tertiary studies can apply for Accreditation of Prior Experiential Learning (APEL) certificate.

• TOEFL (Internet-based): minimum score of 60
• TOEFL Essentials (Online): minimum Band 8.5
• IELTS: minimum Band 6
• PTE: minimum score of 59
• Cambridge English: Occupational English Test (OET) (Conventional/Online) min 250 /Advance (CAE)/Proficiency (CPE) /Preliminary (PET) /First (FCE)/Linguaskill Online min. score 169
• ELS: minimum score of 109
• MUET: minimum Band 4

Exemption can be given to candidate if: English is the candidate’s mother tongue or National Language; or The candidate graduated from an Institution of Higher Learning in which the medium of instruction at Bachelor and/or Master degree level is English (statement of proof required)
