Master of Psychology Clinical

Master of Psychology Clinical is a Masters program taught at Universiti Sains Malaysia, Malaysia. Intake: Once a year in October.. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time (Minimum Duration: 2 Years (4 Semesters) (Full-Time); 3 Years) options.

The Master in Clinical Psychology is a professionally oriented postgraduate programme jointly offered by Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) and Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris (UPSI). It is designed to train future clinical psychologists, focusing on advanced psychological knowledge, ethical and professional practice, and practical clinical skills.

The programme includes Core Courses (37 credits), Clinical Practicum (15 credits), and a Research Project (12 credits). Students complete three clinical placements and a two-part research sequence (Psychology Research Project 1 and Psychology Research Project 2) under the scientist-practitioner model, including a thesis based on a scientifically sound clinical psychology research project.

The minimum requirements for admission in Master of Psychology Clinical at Universiti Sains Malaysia for all applicants (Domestic or International) are:

• program specific academic requirment set by Universiti Sains Malaysia.
• English Language OR any other language requirments as set by Universiti Sains Malaysia as pre-requiste for admission in Master of Psychology Clinical.

• Academic: A Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology with a minimum CGPA of 2.75.
• Note: Non-psychology degree holders may apply if they have completed 30–45 credit hours of psychology prerequisites (certain conditions apply).
• English Proficiency: Required for all applicants (e.g., IELTS Band 6.0, TOEFL iBT 80, or MUET Band 4.5).
• Selection Process: Shortlisted candidates must pass an interview typically held in August.

Qualified candidates will be invited to attend a pre-entry interview.
