The programme focuses on using gas engineering techniques and natural gas management principles in technical and economic analysis across gas production, processing, transportation, and utilization projects.

Students study gas project planning, development and financing, asset management and control, and risk and safety management, alongside hydrocarbon gas transportation and storage and hydrocarbon gas exploration. The curriculum also covers production and processing, gas contract negotiation and implementation, research methodology, and hydrocarbon gas thermodynamic properties and utilization, with graduate projects included. The programme structure is offered under Mainstream (special program) and Offshore pathways, with the number of semesters capped as stated.

The minimum requirements for admission in Master of Gas Engineering Management 2 2 at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia for all applicants (Domestic or International) are:

• English Language OR any other language requirments as set by Universiti Teknologi Malaysia as pre-requiste for admission in Master of Gas Engineering Management 2 2.
