Master of Philosophy Language Communication

Master of Philosophy Language Communication is a Masters program taught at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, Malaysia. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time (minimum of three (3) semesters to six (6) semesters) options.

The Master of Philosophy (Language & Communication) at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia is designed for students who want to carry out original research in language and communication. Students develop advanced research skills and apply them to improve and make appropriate changes to current professional and communication practices. Research can focus on areas including Applied Linguistics, Media and Global Communication, Cultural and Intercultural Communication, and Media and Global Communication.

The programme can be completed in a minimum of three (3) semesters to six (6) semesters. The Master of Philosophy is awarded after completing 37 credits of thesis, three (3) credits of one compulsory university course, and one (1) compulsory Language Academy course. Teaching and learning is supported by four language laboratories and one multimedia laboratory, used to facilitate teaching and learning on an online platform.

The minimum requirements for admission in Master of Philosophy Language Communication at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia for all applicants (Domestic or International) are:

• program specific academic requirment set by Universiti Teknologi Malaysia.
• English Language OR any other language requirments as set by Universiti Teknologi Malaysia as pre-requiste for admission in Master of Philosophy Language Communication.
