Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering with Honours is a Bachelor program taught at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, Malaysia. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time options.

The Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering with Honours at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia applies engineering, physics, engineering mathematics, and materials science to design, analyze, manufacture, and maintain mechanical systems. The programme is organised around four main areas: Applied Mechanics, Design, Thermodynamics, and Fluid Mechanics.

Applied Mechanics and Design learning and research covers structural mechanics of engineering materials, computational modeling, systems design, monitoring and control, computer-aided design, virtual reality engineering, reliability, and optimization-based design, as well as industrial and product design. Thermodynamics and Fluid Mechanics learning and research covers alternative fuel, combustion, renewable and sustainable energy, heat transfer, refrigeration and air-conditioning systems, computational fluid dynamics, fluid power, tribology, and turbomachinery.

Teaching and learning use the NALI method and technology. Study is full time and uses conventional mode of study. Learning and research activities include lectures, tutorials, laboratory works, seminars, studio works, directed reading, and final year projects with problem-based learning, assessed through examinations, laboratory reports, seminar presentations, and project reports.

The minimum requirements for admission in Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering with Honours at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia for all applicants (Domestic or International) are:

• program specific academic requirment set by Universiti Teknologi Malaysia.
• English Language OR any other language requirments as set by Universiti Teknologi Malaysia as pre-requiste for admission in Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering with Honours.

Matriculation/STPM/Diploma or equivalent.

Passed Malaysian Certificate Examination (SPM) or its equivalent with a credit in Bahasa Melayu/Bahasa Malaysia or a credit in Bahasa Melayu/Bahasa Malaysia, July Paper.

Passed the Malaysian High School Certificate (STPM) or its equivalent and obtained:

• Grade C (NGMP 2.00) General Studies/General Paper, and
• Grade C (NGMP 2.00) in two (2) other subjects

Passed the Malaysian University English Test (MUET) with minimum result of Band 1.

Obtained a CGPA of 2.80; and Passed with a minimum Grade B- (NGMP 2.67) in two (2) of the following subjects:

• Mathematics T / Further Mathematics
• Physics or Chemistry

Passed with at least a Grade C in Mathematics and Physics in the SPM level or equivalent.

MUET with minimum result of Band 1.
