Diploma in Teaching Primary and Middle School

Diploma in Teaching Primary and Middle School is a Diploma program taught at Mandhu College, Maldives. Intake: January / April / July / October. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time (1 academic year (15 weeks of study per semester)) options.

The Diploma in Teaching (Primary and Middle School) prepares students to teach at primary and middle school levels. It trains students in teaching methodology, curriculum implementation, assessment, and student management. The final semester includes a practicum where students work under guidance as full teachers in schools. The course is a pre-service program delivered virtually over two semesters within one academic year.

The minimum requirements for admission in Diploma in Teaching Primary and Middle School at Mandhu College for all applicants (Domestic or International) are:

• program specific academic requirment set by Mandhu College.
• English Language OR any other language requirments as set by Mandhu College as pre-requiste for admission in Diploma in Teaching Primary and Middle School.

• Successful completion of Higher Secondary Education OR
• Attainment of a Level 4 qualification in a relevant field OR
• Attainment of a Level 4 Foundation Study Program approved for the specific Diploma program.

Alternative criteria:

• 20 years old, completion of a Level 4 qualification (unrelated), and successful completion of an MQA approved University Preparation Program OR
• 20 years old, completion of secondary school, 2 years of relevant work experience, and successful completion of an MQA approved University Preparation Program (available at Mandhu College).
