Master’s Programme in Artificial Intelligence

Master’s Programme in Artificial Intelligence is a 2 years Masters program taught at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, Amsterdam, Netherlands. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time options. After completion of Master’s Programme in Artificial Intelligence you will be able to further continue for advance studies or start career as Machine learning Engineer, Artificial Intelligence Specialist.

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is widely used in our society: from cars that detect pedestrians to our smart phones’ virtual assistants. These applications use AI techniques to interpret information from a wide variety of sources, and in turn to enable intelligent, goal-directed behaviour.

The Artificial Intelligence Master’s programme at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam looks specifically at hybrid intelligence, where AI systems and humans collaborate. The first year is made up of broad courses that focus on core AI topics, while the second year is devoted to your chosen area of specialisation. 

In collaboration with Psychology department, we also offer the specialised Cognitive Science track

The minimum requirements for admission in Master’s Programme in Artificial Intelligence at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam for all applicants (Domestic or International) are:

• program specific academic requirment set by Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam.
• English Language OR any other language requirments as set by Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam as pre-requiste for admission in Master’s Programme in Artificial Intelligence.

VU Amsterdam requires all applicants to take an English test. You can, however, begin your application without having the test results. Exceptions are made for students who have completed their education in Canada, USA, UK, Ireland, New Zealand or Australia.

The minimum English language proficiency requirements for admission to this Master's programme are:

• IELTS: 6.5 overall
• TOEFL Internet-based test: 92 overall
• Cambridge Certificate in Advanced English (CAE): A, B, C
• Cambridge Certificate of Proficiency in English (CPE): A, B, C
