Diploma in Engineering Level 6 Fire Engineering is a Diploma program taught at Open Polytechnic, New Zealand. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time options.
The Open Polytechnic New Zealand Diploma in Engineering (Level 6) (Fire Engineering) prepares you for work in fire engineering at a technician level. It focuses on technical operations, collaborative engineering service in a relevant specialist area, and applying engineering knowledge to problem-solving decisions in fire engineering. You also learn to identify, evaluate, and manage risks within well-defined engineering problems, and to apply the principles of the Treaty of Waitangi, the Resource Management Act, and the Health & Safety in Employment Act.
You study online using course materials, at a pace that suits you, between the course start and end dates. There are no scheduled online classes to fit into your week. A course facilitator guides you and you have support from a Student Mentor and the Library and Learning Centre teams.
