Bachelor of Social Work (Honours)
Introduction
Bachelor of Social Work (Honours) is a Bachelor program taught at University of Auckland, New Zealand. Intake: Semester One. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time (4 years full-time) options.
The Bachelor of Social Work (Honours) at the University of Auckland is an honours pathway for high-achieving Bachelor of Social Work students. It lets students complete social work study at postgraduate level while still finishing the degree in four years. Students build advanced critical and analytical ability and develop evidence-led approaches and interventions in social work practice.
In the honours pathway, the structure matches the first three years of the standard Bachelor of Social Work programme. The fourth-year difference is that honours students take 700 level (postgraduate) courses instead of 400 level courses. Students also complete a Social Work Honours Research Project, and most students take one General Education course.
