Introduction

Foundation Studies Programme is a Diploma program taught at Victoria University of Wellington, wellington, New Zealand. Intake: four intakes per year. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time (6-, 8/9- and 12-months (two, three, or four terms)) options.

Foundation Studies helps international students who do not meet entry requirements prepare for undergraduate study at Victoria University of Wellington. The curriculum builds subject knowledge and skills, plus entrepreneurial enterprise, leadership, and team skills. Special courses include English for Tertiary Study and New Zealand Culture and Society. Students can study subjects such as Calculus, Environmental Science, Introduction to Accounting, Macroeconomics, Marketing, Microeconomics, Physics, Psychology, Quantitative Methods, Statistics, and Tourism.

The programme is delivered by partners at UP Education. Learning is blended and online, with support for students located in New Zealand and students studying by distance from their home country. Students receive a purpose-created iPad for the duration of the programme. There are four intakes per year, with study options of 6-, 8/9-, and 12-month formats (two, three, or four terms). Successful students receive guaranteed entry into Victoria University of Wellington undergraduate programmes.
