Introduction

Minors in the Bachelor of Science is a Bachelor program taught at Victoria University of Wellington, wellington, New Zealand. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time options.

Minors in the Bachelor of Science are optional additional areas of focus built from a collection of courses in a single subject. Most BSc major subjects can also be taken as a minor, with an exception: if you major in Biology, Biotechnology, or Cell and Molecular Bioscience (in the BSc), you cannot do a minor from the Bachelor of Biomedical Science. The minor workload is lighter than a major because it requires fewer courses and fewer points.

Each minor is made up of at least 60 points from the relevant subject area at 200 level or above. At least 15 of those points must be at 300 level and must not count towards a major or another minor. The available minors include Actuarial Science, Artificial Intelligence, Climate Science, Computer Graphics and Games, Data Science, Development Studies, Environmental Science, Environmental Studies, Geographic Information Science, Mathematics, Psychology, Science in Society, Science Communication, Space Science, and Statistics.
