B.Sc. Honors in Applied Psychology

B.Sc. Honors in Applied Psychology is a 4 years Bachelor program taught at Kinnaird College for Women, Lahore, Pakistan. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time options. To successfully obtain B.Sc. Honors in Applied Psychology from Kinnaird College for Women you are required to complete 131 credit hours. After completion of B.Sc. Honors in Applied Psychology you will be able to further continue for advance studies or start career as Psychologist, Assistant Psychologist, Clinical Psychologist.

This curriculum is specially designed to introduce students to theories of psychology, procedures and practices in the fields of child psychology, clinical psychology, counselling and guidance, educational psychology, industrial psychology and Human Resource Management.

It also enables the students to become proficient in Psychological Testing and Measurement, in using the computer for applications in psychology and to conduct research.

The aim is to prepare students for professional life, to contribute effectively in reducing ethnicity, prejudice and sectarianism and facilitate the development of positivity and tolerance so as to create a better society and to gain an insight into oneself so as to become a better human being.

The students are prepared to pursue lifelong learning and personal enrichment as well as to enter the work force with confidence.

The minimum requirements for admission in B.Sc. Honors in Applied Psychology at Kinnaird College for Women for all applicants (Domestic or International) are:

• program specific academic requirment set by Kinnaird College for Women.
• English Language OR any other language requirments as set by Kinnaird College for Women as pre-requiste for admission in B.Sc. Honors in Applied Psychology.

• FA/F.Sc Part-I with minimum 60% marks OR A-level in three main subjects (no subsidiary) with minimum Grade B (60%) with Equivalence Certificate OR Grade 12 with minimum Grade B (60%) with Equivalence Certificate.
• Candidates must have 60% marks in psychology in F.A/A-Level or 60% marks in biology in F.Sc/A-Level

Active Citizenship program offered by Kinnaird College in collaboration with British Council and HEC is a social leadership training program that promotes intercultural dialogue and community-led social development. It is a mandatory requirement for the completion of undergraduate degree and based on two semesters. All students will study the theoretical portion through different activities starting in their 3rd semester. They will plan their social action projects in 4th semester and implement it in the field.
