PhD Management

PhD Management is a 4 years PhD program taught at Lahore University of Management Sciences LUMS, . The program is offered in campus-based modes with full Time options. To successfully obtain PhD Management from Lahore University of Management Sciences LUMS you are required to complete 60 credit hours. After completion of PhD Management you will be able to further continue for advance studies or start career as Marketing Manager, Retail Manager.

The LUMS PhD Management is an interdisciplinary programme that provides exposure to global best practices, and training in rigorous research methods, while focusing on social impact both in a specialised local context and in terms of the global economy. Our PhD graduates have the expertise to use theory and empirical research to solve complex challenges in public, private and non-profit sectors in Pakistan and abroad.

The minimum requirements for admission in PhD Management at Lahore University of Management Sciences LUMS for all applicants (Domestic or International) are:

• program specific academic requirment set by Lahore University of Management Sciences LUMS.
• English Language OR any other language requirments as set by Lahore University of Management Sciences LUMS as pre-requiste for admission in PhD Management.

Applicants must meet the minimum eligibility criteria in order to be considered for admission to the PhD Management Programme. 

Applicants are selected for admission to LUMS PhD Management Programme based on the following factors:

1. Academic Record;
2. Performance in the Admission Test*;
3. Research Statement (Research Statement Template);
4. Two Letters of Recommendation;
5. Completed and submitted application form and supporting documents by the stipulated deadline;
6. Application Review; and
7. Interview (if called)

The four-year programme consists of the following components:

30 credit hours:

Coursework - 1.5 years

30 credit hours :

Comprehensive Exam and Proposal - 1 year
Dissertation - 1.5 years
