Master's degree programme Biotechnology is a 2 years Masters program taught at South Ural State University, Chelyabinsk, Russia. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time options. The field of professional activity of the graduates is related to the biotechnologies of manufacturing new food products and alimentary raw materials, functional food products, dietary (medical and prophylactic) food; monitoring food quality and safety, and developing innovative biotechnologies in compliance with the national policy of the Russian Federation in the field of Healthy Nutrition for the Population, as well as with the Technological Platform "Bioindustry and Bioresources" (BioTech2030)

The professional competences aim at:

• creating the technologies for producing new foods by using microbiological synthesis, genetic engineering, and nanobiotechnologies;
• obtaining and applying enzymes, microorganisms, cell cultures of animals and plants, and products of their biosynthesis and biotransformation;
• biotechnologies for recycling and disposal of the waste from industries and agriculture, and for environment protection;

The minimum requirements for admission in Master's degree programme Biotechnology at South Ural State University for all applicants (Domestic or International) are:

• program specific academic requirment set by South Ural State University.
• English Language OR any other language requirments as set by South Ural State University as pre-requiste for admission in Master's degree programme Biotechnology.
