Bachelor's in Materials Engineering

Materials Engineering is a Bachelor program taught at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time options.

The Bachelor of Engineering in Materials Engineering at Nanyang Technological University is provided by the School of Materials Science and Engineering. Students study fundamental sciences and mathematics relevant to Materials Science, and they build in-depth understanding of key material properties and behaviours. In later stages, the programme increases coverage of materials science, processing, characterisation, and applications of materials.

The programme includes coursework plus practical hands-on laboratory work, a professional internship of 20 weeks, and a final year project. The industrial attachment occurs during the internship period. In the later stage, students can opt to take advanced topics that lead to specialisations across medical materials, industrial materials engineering, nanoscience and nanotechnology, materials and artificial intelligence, materials and sustainability, clean energy and innovation, and intellectual property.

The minimum requirements for admission in Materials Engineering at Nanyang Technological University for all applicants (Domestic or International) are:

• program specific academic requirment set by Nanyang Technological University.
• English Language OR any other language requirments as set by Nanyang Technological University as pre-requiste for admission in Materials Engineering.
