Bachelor of Arts in Art and Education

Bachelor of Arts in Art and Education is a Bachelor program taught at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time (4 years) options.

The Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Art and Education develops competencies in Visual Art through studio practice and critical studies. Students take visual art courses across 2D and 3D media, contemporary digital technologies, and art theories, alongside education and pedagogy courses for effective teaching.

The programme is full-time and culminates in an arts-based research project. Students develop their personal artistic voice and produce a body of work for public exhibition, supported by learning in well-equipped, purpose-built studios. Students may also take part in the International Practicum, Semester Exchange, and Service and Leadership Training, plus Group Endeavours in Service Learning (GESL) projects.

The minimum requirements for admission in Bachelor of Arts in Art and Education at Nanyang Technological University for all applicants (Domestic or International) are:

• program specific academic requirment set by Nanyang Technological University.
• English Language OR any other language requirments as set by Nanyang Technological University as pre-requiste for admission in Bachelor of Arts in Art and Education.

• Or a pass in H2 level in Art
• Or a pass at Higher level in Art (IB Diploma)
• Or at least a major CAP of 2.0 for NUS High School Diploma in Fine Art
• Or Art-Related Diploma from recognised colleges and polytechnics
• Or candidates with ‘A’ Level or H2 level or Higher level (IB Diploma) from any discipline with strong art portfolios will be considered.
• Art Focused interview is compulsory for all applicants.
• Meeting the minimum requirement for a specific academic subject does not guarantee the allocation of the academic subject. Allocation depends on ranking based on student teachers’ qualifications and results and availability of vacancies.
