Master of Architecture Programme is a Masters program taught at Singapore University of Technology and Design, Singapore. Intake: August to December. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time (12 months) options.
The Master of Architecture (MArch) at Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD) is a professional degree focused on design and research for sustainability and the digital transformation of the architectural profession. The programme emphasises independent critical thinking in a thesis project and supports this with close collaboration with faculty. Students choose from electives, design studios, and thesis advisors, supported by professional practice and research preparation seminars.
Delivery is full-time for 12 months. The programme includes a 16-week structured internship that begins the programme, with regular contact sessions with faculty thesis advisors as students begin formulating the thesis. Studio courses are aligned with the thesis project, giving students two terms to formulate the thesis. The MArch LABS framework lets students collaborate on multi-year themes or pitch thesis ideas in open LABS, and students may also develop an independent thesis topic with an individual advisor.
