B.S. Chemistry
Introduction
B.S. Chemistry is a Bachelor program taught at Seoul National University, South Korea. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time options.
The B.S. Chemistry at Seoul National University prepares students for work in research, pharmacy, lab work, or teaching. Students take laboratory classes with no more than 24 students and study through hands-on use of modern equipment, including UV-Vis, HPLC-MS, FT-IR with ATR, and multinuclear FT-NMR spectrometers. The program also frames learning with an integration of faith and learning.
Learning includes more than classroom lectures and labs. Students can take part in a Summer Research Experience run by the Division of STEM at SNU, complete semester research projects with a chemistry professor, and do environmental research during a semester abroad at QERC in Costa Rica. The degree plan also includes reading chemistry research literature together, connecting lab experiments to medical and other real-world applications, and solving problems in individual and collaborative teams.
