Diploma de Experto/a en Lactancia Materna

Diploma de Experto/a en Lactancia Materna is a Diploma program taught at Florida Universitaria, Spain. Intake: Fall, Spring. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time (2 years) options.

The Diploma de Experto/a en Lactancia Materna at Florida Universitària provides updated, evidence-based training on breastfeeding for health professionals. It focuses on the risks associated with feeding with milk substitutes and on breastfeeding as the best food to support optimal growth and development. It also covers the general guidance to start breastfeeding in the first hour of life, exclusively for the first 6 months, and then continue with appropriate complementary foods up to 2 years or more.

The program is designed for health professionals who need knowledge and resources to prevent, evaluate, and manage breastfeeding difficulties or problems for the mother–baby pair, including at the start and throughout the breastfeeding period. It also supports providing information and care for the pregnant woman who wants to breastfeed, and delivering quality care to breastfeeding mothers and infants with health conditions. Training includes communication skills in breastfeeding, plus the ability to evaluate, diagnose, treat, and/or refer problems related to breastfeeding.

The minimum requirements for admission in Diploma de Experto/a en Lactancia Materna at Florida Universitaria for all applicants (Domestic or International) are:

• program specific academic requirment set by Florida Universitaria.
• English Language OR any other language requirments as set by Florida Universitaria as pre-requiste for admission in Diploma de Experto/a en Lactancia Materna.
