Bachelor of Engineering Hons Civil Engineering

Bachelor of Engineering Hons Civil Engineering is a Bachelor program taught at Sri Lanka Institute of Information Technology (SLIT), Sri Lanka. Intake: February; June; September. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time (4 Years) options.

The Bachelor of Engineering Hons Civil Engineering is an undergraduate degree with a major in Civil Engineering. Students focus on infrastructure design, planning, development, construction, and maintenance. They apply their knowledge through practical work experience and a final year research project.

The programme includes structured academic study across four years, with hands-on learning such as lab work, surveying camps, and industrial training. Modules span areas including statics and hydrostatics, structural analysis, fluid mechanics, geotechnical engineering, and structural design.

The minimum requirements for admission in Bachelor of Engineering Hons Civil Engineering at Sri Lanka Institute of Information Technology (SLIT) for all applicants (Domestic or International) are:

• program specific academic requirment set by Sri Lanka Institute of Information Technology (SLIT).
• English Language OR any other language requirments as set by Sri Lanka Institute of Information Technology (SLIT) as pre-requiste for admission in Bachelor of Engineering Hons Civil Engineering.

Local A/Ls: Minimum of 2 “C” passes and 1 “S” pass in G.C.E A/L (Local) in the Physical Science Stream (Covering Combined Mathematics, Physics & Chemistry) in one and same sitting OR Cambridge/Edexcel A/Ls : 2 “B” passes and 1 “C” pass in Cambridge or Edexcel A/Ls in the Physical Science Stream (Covering Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry)

Successful completion of a Foundation Programme accepted by SLIIT. Pass the Aptitude Test conducted by SLIIT. Applicant should maintain a minimum GPA of 2.5 to transfer.
