Certificate Programme in Introduction to Artificial Intelligence

Certificate Programme in Introduction to Artificial Intelligence is a Diploma program taught at Sri Lanka Institute of Information Technology (SLIT), Sri Lanka. Intake: September. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time (40 Hours) options.

The Certificate Programme in Introduction to Artificial Intelligence at Sri Lanka Institute of Information Technology (SLIT) is a 40-hour online programme that builds a foundation in AI. It covers search algorithms, knowledge representation and reasoning, machine learning and deep learning, natural language processing, and ethical considerations. Learners study topics including state-space search, propositional and first order logic, supervised and unsupervised learning, neural networks, NLP tasks, and AI bias, fairness, privacy, and explainability.

The programme runs online with a schedule of Sundays from 9.00 am to 12.00 pm. Teaching includes both theory and practical sessions using Python and tools such as Jupyter, NumPy, Pandas, scikit-learn, TensorFlow, and other listed tools. The course culminates in a capstone project where learners choose an AI mini-project, then present and complete evaluations.

The minimum requirements for admission in Certificate Programme in Introduction to Artificial Intelligence at Sri Lanka Institute of Information Technology (SLIT) for all applicants (Domestic or International) are:

• program specific academic requirment set by Sri Lanka Institute of Information Technology (SLIT).
• English Language OR any other language requirments as set by Sri Lanka Institute of Information Technology (SLIT) as pre-requiste for admission in Certificate Programme in Introduction to Artificial Intelligence.
