Advanced Certificate Programme in Artificial Intelligence

Advanced Certificate Programme in Artificial Intelligence is a September 15 Diploma program taught at Sri Lanka Institute of Information Technology (SLIT), Sri Lanka. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time (40 Hours) options.

The Advanced Certificate Programme in Artificial Intelligence is a 40-hour online programme that helps learners master advanced AI techniques and applications. It covers advanced machine learning, deep learning and computer vision, natural language processing with deep learning, generative AI and large language models, agentic AI and autonomous systems, and reinforcement learning.

The programme blends theory with hands-on projects using modern tools and frameworks. It includes practical sessions in each module and ends with a capstone project where learners apply multiple AI methods to solve real-world challenges, followed by presentation and viva evaluation. It also includes explainable and responsible AI and AI system deployment using tools such as Flask/FastAPI and MLOps concepts.

• Module 2 – Deep Learning and Computer Vision (6 hours)
• Module 3 – Natural Language Processing with Deep Learning (5 hours)
• Module 4 – Generative AI and Large Language Models (5 hours)
• Module 5 – Agentic AI and Autonomous Systems (4 hours)
• Module 6 – Reinforcement Learning and Agents (4 hours)
• Module 7 – Explainable and Responsible AI (4 hours)
• Module 8 – AI System Deployment (3 hours)
• Module 9 – Capstone Project & Emerging Trends (3 hours)

The minimum requirements for admission in Advanced Certificate Programme in Artificial Intelligence at Sri Lanka Institute of Information Technology (SLIT) for all applicants (Domestic or International) are:

• program specific academic requirment set by Sri Lanka Institute of Information Technology (SLIT).
• English Language OR any other language requirments as set by Sri Lanka Institute of Information Technology (SLIT) as pre-requiste for admission in Advanced Certificate Programme in Artificial Intelligence.
