The Bachelor of Science in Chemical and Biological Engineering at American University of Sharjah is a chemical and biological engineering degree that includes breadth and depth of knowledge and significant design and engineering experience. Students gain hands-on laboratory experience across key areas of chemical and biological engineering, using chemical and biological engineering teaching and research laboratories and simulation software.

The program follows a four-year, 130-credit-degree plan with technical and free elective courses, plus university requirements and core requirements for all chemical and biological engineering students. Students complete an internship experience, a senior project over the course of two semesters, and an innovation and entrepreneurship course requirement. Industry-sponsored graduation projects and project-based learning are included, supported by facilities such as multiple specialized engineering laboratories.
