Introduction
Master of Science in Chemical Engineering is a Masters program taught at American University of Sharjah, UAE. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time options.
The Master of Science in Chemical Engineering (MSChE) at American University of Sharjah combines chemical engineering practice with technical research. You strengthen your knowledge in transport phenomena, thermodynamics, kinetics, and reactor design, supported by mathematics and a focus on developing technical, analytical, and practical skills for major assignments in chemical engineering.
The degree offers three paths: a course-only option with 10 courses, a thesis option with 7 courses and a thesis, and a project option with 9 courses and a project. Student outcomes include performing research using creativity, independent learning, and scientific methods, applying advanced mathematics and engineering knowledge to solve problems, and communicating effectively.
The mission of the program is to prepare professionals for advanced careers and/or doctoral studies related to chemical engineering. Admission requires meeting university general graduate admission requirements plus the MSChE-specific requirement of a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from an independently accredited university recognized by AUS.
