BSc in Computer Science program

The BSc in Computer Science at Zayed Military University focuses on the theoretical foundations of information and computation. Students study computation as calculation or the use of computing technology that follows well-defined models such as algorithms and protocols. The program also develops methods for acquiring, representing, processing, storing, and communicating information through systematic study, building, and testing.

Students gain an understanding of the relationship between computer hardware and software and the issues linked to information processing. The program is designed to support professional skills used in industry and in branches of the military that support security and technological functions of operations. ZMU cadets also receive benefits including a monthly stipend, accommodations, meals, transportation, textbooks, a laptop, and access to medical services, learning centers, tutoring, advising, and counseling.

Academic requirements to be admitted to the Computer Science program at ZMU are identical to those at KU. The detailed requirements can be found here. Additionally, ZMU applicants will undergo a supplementary review process including a physical health screening, a face-to-face interview, and the necessary governmental approval.
